We are proud to present a residential concept designed specifically for the unique topography of Paarl, South Africa. This proposal seeks to harmonize the rigid geometry of modern minimalism with the organic, raw beauty of the Western Cape’s rocky slopes.
Architectural Highlights:
Form & Function: The design utilizes elongated horizontal planes and dramatic overhangs to provide natural shading while maintaining an unobstructed 270-degree view of the valley.
Materiality: We have specified a refined, light-reflective palette to contrast against the warmth of indigenous stone cladding. This ensures the structure remains thermally efficient while paying homage to the site’s geological heritage.
The Experience: The “floating” glass pavilion serves as the home’s centrepiece, offering a weightless living experience that blurs the line between the interior sanctuary and the rugged outdoors.
