This bold architectural proposal is designed to harmonize with the expansive, rolling landscapes of Steyn City. While our coastal designs embrace the cliffside, this residence focuses on “Pavilion Living”—using long, clean horizontal lines and deep overhangs to create a sprawling, sun-drenched sanctuary that celebrates the Highveld climate.
Architectural Highlights:
The Highveld Pavilion: This design features massive, open-plan volumes with floor-to-ceiling glazing that can be completely retracted, allowing the living spaces to flow seamlessly onto the landscaped gardens and a feature rim-flow pool.
Refined Materiality: We have utilized a sophisticated palette of warm timber cladding, crisp white finishes, and textured feature walls that reflect the natural stone found within the estate, ensuring the home feels anchored in its lush environment.
Light & Volume: A double-volume entrance and strategically placed light wells ensure that every corner of the home is flooded with natural light, creating a bright, airy atmosphere that complements the estate’s “parkland” feel.
Integrated Outdoor Living: The design includes a sunken fire pit and an expansive covered patio—essential for Johannesburg’s outdoor-centric lifestyle—perfectly positioned to overlook the estate’s greenery or the championship golf course.
